I've never agreed with this "If I'm too ill to be at work, I must be too ill to go out" concept. After a day of not being at work, it makes sense to feel somewhat recovered. In fact, given the current temperature, I'm leaning toward "I'm too groggy to think straight at work, so I'll declare the cinema's air-con medicinal."
I'll agree there's a certain amount of social difficulty, if work people see you being recovered, but if you're genuinely under the weather, go home, and it's their problem if they misinterpret your continued survival.

I doubt it's the heat per se - I've been in an air-conditioned office since 9am. I thought earlier that it might be dehydration, but I've drunk several litres of water in the last four hours with no positive effect so have gone off that theory.
Anyway, enough moaning, back to consolidations.

I've sent Bella an email letting her know I'm not 100% but am well enough to come along and play and would like to. The email tells her that if she's concerned about her club performance ratings (if there are any) we should probably call it off because I'm not sure how far my play will be affected.
I think that's fair warning!
