Exam results

A very tense early evening: results were due to be out at 5pm. I hyperventilated through much of the preceding hour, then almost collapsed in nerves when the website wouldn't load and the email didn't come through.

Weekend does indeed look fairly good. I saw the inimitable Mr Parish and his new bride last night, for instance, and I'm off for a few days away from tomorrow. Mmm, relaxation.

well done; it always seems pretty disjointed between how well you *think* you've done in various papers and the actual results: i remember in my Classics finals I got my best mark in the Thucydides paper when I could barely stay awake though reading him . . .

You can't win, you know. When everyone except you believes your Victory Is Inevitable (TM), you get to spend an hour hyperventilating and then we just applaud politely and smile to ourselves and mutter 'told you so' under our breaths.
