panflute flowchart = awesome font on rest of flyer = creepy & not awesome "five american dollars" = awesome
so, i bought a melodica. speaking of panflute flowchart. it's my first instrument ever. i'm gettin' real good at `four note noodly snakecharmer music. i would like to branch out from this, got any ideas what i should do to really learn how to play this thing? besides "listen to Augustus Pablo"?
i love him but i'm actually more interested in playing along to Alan Lomax recordings right now. ah, but what i'm asking is, where should i be looking for practice exercises and shit?

As far as photoshop goes, I = teh suck.
Melodica... lessee...
Depeche Mode, "Everything Counts"
Bauhaus, "She's in Parties"
Ben Folds Five, "Smoke"
...aaaand there's almost everything by The Hooters.
As far as practice exercises, since it's pretty much a keyboard, any basic piano book will do you good, just stick to the trebel clef (the melody part). Believe it or not, I'd suggest "Mikrokosmos" by Bartok. It's meant to be a series of piano exercises for beginners, and it's also a beautiful example of atonal melody.
