I often see "Non-smoking house" on EBay listings, which suggests people are worried about the smell.

Although there might be items where the smell is a bonus - "Antique leather-bound encyclopedia, printed 1889, from library of a man who smoked fine pipe tobacco daily..." I might pay extra for that!

Hi! I followed you here from Corsetmakers :)

I agree with you about stale smoke smell and smoke-free restaurants. Nothing is more disgusting than a car that reeks of stale smoke. Well, wet-dog smell combined with stale smoke takes the cake. No amount of Febreeze can remove that stench!
It is now smoke-free in Italy and Spain. They are trying to enforce that in France and here in Germany. It should be interesting to see what happens.

Question: were you once yourself a smoker?
