Pretend you went to a professional organization conference and the main draw of the group dinner was making paella for 90 people in a fifteen-foot wide frying pan over a giant fire.

Also I've never had paella. Is it likely to have a wide appeal?

I love paella, and I think it would be fun (assuming this is an optional event).

You may have to be careful about what you put in the paella for it to have wide appeal. Also, I am not convinced it would cook properly in that quantity.

According to Wikipedia paella makes a good mass food thing*.
