I just watched This Means War. And while I love everyone acting in that movie, the movie itself was terrible. As my sister is fond of saying 'but they looked real good

I CONCUR ABOUT HAVEN! Omg. This season has been amazing, and I am terrified that in the next 2 episodes we're not going to get answers because it was picked up for another season. Which is a good thing, but, oh man. I need some answers on that show. Can we talk about how I've fallen completely in love with Duke... even more. I didn't think that was possible, but it happened, and I just want to smish him. Also, I want them to go back in time again so we can have Sarah back again for an episode. :D
( ... )
I liked last week's episode with Nolan North and all that, but we didn't get any real answers to things. :( :( and I don't want them to hurry through the last two to answer some things. It seems like they are trying though.
And you're right about Duke. I think his trying so hard is really great. He honestly just wants a family even if he says he doesn't. Pirate Duke ♥
You should definitely watch more Elementary. It's lovely. Their interactions are the best.
I'm not always that keen on Emma, but I think it's supposed to be because she's saving things, carrying the majority of the storyline with her and I get tired of that, but on the other side there's Aurora and Mulan and Ruby and Belle and Granny.
This means war is the worst movie ever. x_x Srsly. And I love Tom Hardy to pieces and Chris Pine and Reese Witherspoon, too - but somehow the script is just SO bad. But yes, everybody looked mighty fine.
Haven is AWESOME this season. <3 All my Duke-feelings! I was glad that Nathan stopped hating on him so much and they've been back to bickering and being friends (Okay, I haven't watch the newest episode yet, but I will as soon as possible).
Okay so. Why would Reese have dated EITHER of them after finding out? And obviously Pine didn't tell her he was spying on her. Ugh. It was creepy and stalkerish and no one ever thought that Reese was a real person and could do without the men in her life telling her what to do? I didn't like it. But yeah, they were wearing excellent suits and Reese has great legs so there was that.
I agree about Nathan! I mean, he hasn't completely thawed, but at least he's letting some stuff go. He was seriously getting on my nerves there for a while when everything was Duke's fault for no reason.
You should catch up and come back! It's a great show.
The thing is Reese WASN'T a person - she was a terrible shallow blueprint of a woman with zero personality and I didn't get why either guy would want to be with her. But then again both guys were liars and terrible best friends, so maybe it all fitted perfectly well together. All in all it was a terrible movie with terrible characters. :-/ Which is a shame, because all three actors are usually awesome.
Exactly! I didn't get it - I mean they've become so much better friends during the last two seasons and all of a sudden Nathan starts to hate on Duke and blame him for everything and that just made me angry. x_x I'm glad the show seems to change directions and let them become friends again...
I totally will. I mean, Eoin Bailey and Sebastian Stan! <3
I caught up with "Elementary" over the weekend and I agree with you about Watson. The show itself suffers from the "who did it" problem though and because the solution has to be reasonable (as in you will need to arrive at your conclusion by reasoning) you usually know at least five minutes before Sherlock what happened.
Haven, I tried to get into it when it first started but somehow it couldn't keep my attention. What's the mystery?
As of OUAT - I agree that it has been very entertaining this season. Probably thanks to the Aurora/Mulan parts - at least to me the scenes in fairytale land were a lot more entertaining than Storybrook. And again I have to agree with you, I wish we saw more of Ruby she is a really awesome character.
I don't think there's all that much wrong with watching Starship Troopers... the problem may start if you have all its sequels on DVD but when that happens we can certainly talk about it. I'm here for you.
Haven is pretty great. I started really loving it midway through season 2. So maybe give that a shot again some time? The mystery is pretty much Audrey.
I liked some of the Storybrooke stuff, but I think they could have told us about everyone ELSE in the town that wasn't Regina or Gold or Charming and how people were adjusting to being themselves in a magic-free place. Those tiny things make me happy. (Guess that's why there is fic.)
Okay, good to know about Starship Troopers. I only watched it on cable so I'm good for now. Thanks for watching out for me. I wouldn't want to fall into that trap without a way to come back.
Perhaps it's my attention span and one day I give it another go.
I'm not sure what could be done to fix the Storybrooke part... as you said, the focus is so much on David, Regina and Gold. And yes, fanfic... the great escape and playground to explain everything a show is lacking.
Seems like nothing's wrong. Perfectly acceptable behaviour so far watching the original movie on telly. *thumbs up*
