character name: Sasuke Uchiha.
canon source and the point from which they're taken: Naruto (manga), Chapter 403
character's age: 18
canon powers, skills, pets and equipment: Sasuke will physically come without much: his sword, the Akatsuki cloak, three kunai are all that he will be sporting. However, in the powers department, he is well-versed in the a
Chidori,
Sharingan,
Mangekyo Sharingan, several fire techniques, not to mention excelling in speed and physical combat. (Trust me, as overpowered as this can be, I don’t abuse them.)
non-canon powers: If it would be all right with the mods, I’d like to forego gaining powers; he has so many already that I don’t want him to become over powered. However, if you would like to lock up one of his powers, I would be okay with that as well. Let me know? I would love to be able to work out something that is acceptable for everyone.
canon history: Sasuke fits into many roles through the course of the manga: rival, brother, victim, avenger. Every piece of his history is an important brick into his wall, growing taller by the day.
Sasuke was the second child born to Fugaku and Mikoto of the Uchiha clan, and existed mostly in the shadow of his prodigy elder brother, Itachi. Inspired by both the sibling rivalry and adoration he felt, Sasuke worked hard to receive top scores in his classes, but suffered as his father still hardly looked at him, constantly comparing him to his older relative. This drove Sasuke to only want to work harder, and to ultimately achieve the respect of those around him.
It took a Gōkakyu no Jutsu and Itachi’s sudden strange behavior for him to finally gain not only recognition, but pride from Fugaku, along with a warning: don’t follow Itachi’s path. But all that fell to the wayside when Itachi slaughtered every member of the clan in the middle of the night, sparing only Sasuke, whom he claimed was not worth killing. He told Sasuke that the only way to kill him was to hate and despise him, which threw him down the road he now walks.
Years passed, and Sasuke continued to train, working hard towards his one and only driving force: the death of his clan’s killer. Along the way he was assigned to Team 7, which consisted of Naruto, Sakura, and was led by Kakashi. It was upon their first serious mission that Sasuke used his bloodline’s power, the Sharingan, and he risked his life for Naruto, an action that will become almost impossible to believe later on. However, it was Naruto alone who finished the fight and ultimately won.
The all-important Chunin Exams came quickly after, and it was during the second test that he encountered Orochimaru. With a bite to Sasuke’s neck, Orochimaru bestowed upon Sasuke the Cursed Seal, a “gift” that granted additional chakra, strength, and power but at the cost of so much more. The young Uchiha nearly lost himself to it during a fight until Sakura embraced him from behind and begged him to stop. Once stable, they completed this part of the Chunin Exams and advanced to the preliminaries. After Sasuke’s battle, Kakashi bound the Curse Seal, but it would only work so long as Sasuke wanted it to. Kakashi, trying to show Sasuke that there are other places to have strength beside that Seal, proceeded to train him for a month and taught him the powerful lightning technique, Chidori.
Sasuke arrived (late) for his much publicized battle with Gaara, and while it was in full swing, Orochimaru attacked Konoha resulting in chaos. Gaara escaped in the bedlam, and Sasuke proceeded to chase after him. They engaged in a fight that Sasuke did not win, even after he sought help from the Cursed Seal. Naruto, however, arrived in time to defeat the Sand ninja, besting the Uchiha once again. Sasuke was left to stew over his jealousy at being shown up by someone he had considered as “dead last” for so long, and sat bitterly in that feeling of failure.
With the invasion over, Sasuke learned that his brother Itachi came back to Konoha and was searching for Naruto and the nine-tailed beast inside him. Seeing his chance for his retribution finally at hand, he rushed to find Naruto only to discover Itachi and Kisame were already there. Sasuke, who could not even land a scratch on Itachi, suffered a humiliating defeat by his brother’s hand, and was coldly told, “You're still too weak. You don't have enough hate, and you know something? You never will.”
Enraged over his loss to his brother and the fact that Naruto had outdone him in the fight against Gaara, Sasuke seethed in his jealousy and anger until the Sound Four arrived to Konoha, all bearing their own Curse Seal. They offered to escort him to Orochimaru with the promise of more power, enough to potentially kill his brother, all in exchange for Sasuke’s physical body when the time was right. Sakura, who discovered his intentions to defect from the village, caught him as he left and attempted to talk him out of it, but his mind was steadfastly made up. Rendering her unconscious, he turned his back on Konoha and departed with Orochimaru’s ninjas.
Naruto was the one who found Sasuke at The Valley of the End, catching him before he could reach Orochimaru. Sasuke was pleased by this, knowing that if he killed Naruto (his best friend at that time), he could achieve the Mangekyo Sharingan, a power that could dispatch Itachi for good. Naruto threatened to bring Sasuke back to Konoha, by force if necessary, and the fight that passed was intense. The clash forced Naruto to tap into the Kyuubi’s powers, while Sasuke has no choice but to activate the Cursed Seal to Level Two. The battle ended with Naruto unconscious and Sasuke leaning over him in the rain, deciding not to kill the blonde because that is exactly what Itachi would want. He walked off to find Orochimaru, steadfastly determined to do things his own way.
Three years pass, and they were spent training and honing the skills that Orochimaru instilled in him. It was at this time that he met Sai, his replacement in Team 7, and the reception was less than pleasant. Angered over being woken up, and even moreso by the talks of bonds with Naruto and Sakura, he destroyed his room and most of the surrounding area. This brought Sakura, Naruto, and Yamoto running, their first meeting in years.
The reunion was anything but joyful, however, and Sasuke, still annoyed, explained that he spared Naruto’s life on a whim last time, and he would kill him on a whim this time, before attacking. He even went as far as to use his Sharingan to see Kyuubi itself, and spoke to it inside Naruto. “Eyes with such power and chakra more sinister than my own, just as Uchiha Madara was” it said, a statement Sasuke easily dismissed.
Before he could kill the others, however, Orochimaru intercepted Sasuke and they left together under the knowledge that the Konoha ninjas will take out more Akatsuki, leaving them with less work to do.
Shortly after this, Sasuke approached Orochimaru in one of his many hideouts, saying that he has learned all he can from him. The young Uchiha ridiculed him, stating that he wasn’t worthy of his body or the Sharingan, even going as far as to snap a condescending remark regarding Orochimaru’s genius status. At the end of their short fight, Sasuke absorbed Orochimaru into his body and left to employ some former of Orochimaru’s subordinates and test subjects (Suigetsu, Karin, Jugo, a team he calls “Hebi”), all in the hopes of finally defeating Itachi.
Sasuke soon ventured across Akatsuki's member Deidara, who he questioned about Itachi’s location. As with most meetings that Sasuke has, it did not go well, and resulted in a physical clash of skill. In the end, Deidara detonated himself rather than give up, and Sasuke survived, though barely. When recovered, he followed the leads he had gained and searched an Akatsuki lair. Upon encountering one of Itachi’s shadow clones, he was told to meet his real brother at an abandoned Uchiha stronghold.
At long last, the brothers came face to face for the final battle. They talked of Sharingans, the theft of eyes, and the past before exchanging blows. The fight was arduous, long; nothing held back, no jutsu or skill kept in reserve. It’s only after Sasuke’s chakra levels were gone that the Orochimaru is able to break free of Sasuke’s body, allowing Itachi to be able to seal him and the Cursed Seal away for good. In a rather poignant scene, Sasuke stared on at his brother with a wide gaze, waiting for Itachi to claim his eyes from their sockets, but instead, Itachi poked him in the forehead as he used to when Sasuke was a child, all before falling over into the dirt, dead.
Fatigued beyond belief, Sasuke passed out beside his brother’s corpse in the dirt.
Sasuke awoke to being tended to by Tobi, and after a failed experiment of trying to earn trust by showing his face (an act that was thwarted by the Mangekyo Sharingan that formed in Sasuke’s eye, a reward that he received from killing the person closest to him: Itachi), they talked (or rather, Tobi talked and Sasuke begrudgingly listened). Tobi explained much in this meeting, including the fact that Konoha orchestrated the fall of the Uchiha clan due to a quest for power and from fear, and that Itachi was only following their orders. In fact, it was revealed that Itachi had disobeyed their orders by even sparing Sasuke’s life. The monster he had known as his sibling really was the adoring brother who carried him piggy-backed through the streets after he skinned his knee. Years were wasted on a hate that had never been warranted.
A new rage filled him, consumed him: avenge not only his clan, but the brother he had once loved as well. And only way to do this, he knew, is through the destruction of Konoha.
personality: Sasuke is focused on one thing and one thing only: vengeance for his clan’s massacre. He will stop at nothing to achieve this end, including selling his own soul if it gets him even one step closer. This becomes a strange war within his superiority complex though, as he tends to find his way out of these toxic situations, usually by besting people in combat. He has a strong sense of pride, almost an over-compensation, and an ego to match; the younger Uchiha is a genius and he knows it. This also leads him to think that he knows a little bit of everything, even if he clearly doesn’t. Lectures tend to go in one ear and out the other, unless someone can find a subject that he cares about.
Indifferent to almost everyone, Sasuke tends to ignore most people, or talks in a way that puts people off. Condescending to the point of belittling, he has a sharp tongue and is not afraid of offending those around him or pointing out that you are beneath him/not worth his time. He is more likely to give you no expression or a glare rather than anything akin to a smile.
Sasuke does not want friends, nor does he want to be bothered or reminded of the ones he might have had once upon a time. He finds those connections to be a weakness, puppet strings that can control people, and has cut all ties. The most obvious one is the relationship he had with Naruto, who to this day, he still hasn’t killed, no matter how many times he said that he would. In his own way, that makes Sasuke selfish beyond belief, not caring how his actions affect anyone outside of himself… and sometimes, not even himself matters in the equation.
It’s those bonds, however, that are his sore point. There is a part of him that wants to kill Naruto just to prove to himself that he can; he feels that there would be a certain aspect of freedom that would follow it if it was achieved.
The other, even more sensitive, spot would have to be that of his brother; it’s a subject he is not very forthcoming or open about. He will glare if asked about it, might walk away if pressed, and if still bothered, he will insist that he cannot be held accountable for his actions.
For all the intelligence that Sasuke harbors, he can, at times, be easily manipulated and used for others’ plans (Itachi, Madara, Orochimaru), usually by someone offering to help him to his goal.

important development and/or events in your previous game: Sasuke became close to several people in World’s End… if you can call it “close”. Having met up with Itachi again, he had formed a rather tight-knit relationship with him, finding a comfortable level to bond on even if Itachi did not approve of the path he had chosen to follow. Obito, a cousin that he was never given a chance to meet, came and went in the city, but in the time they had, Sasuke was given a chance to emulate the brother skills that Itachi had taught him (and not all of them bad, either). Namine attempted to become a voice of reason, one he often ignored, and Aaron joined in those ranks only to meet the same fate. Itachi and Konan were the only ones who could pull the choke chain on the rabid dog that was Sasuke, but others came close, most notably, Aaron.
During the time in World’s End, Sasuke experienced two deaths: one by Sasori and Orochimaru, and the other by a serial killer. The first murder resulted in his forgetting Naruto (though he was given those memories back, thanks to the blonde and Sakura) and the second resulted in Karin being ripped from his memory. Since no one has brought her up yet, he still is in the dark about this.
Sasuke has learned about the destruction of Konoha and is still seething about it, even if he has seemed to calm down. He finds anger in Pein concerning the situation, even if it wasn’t an intentional attack against Sasuke.
During his stay, also, he engaged in both verbal and physical battles with Naruto (though the physical was more when he was Kyuubi than the shinobi Sasuke knew). It ended with Sasuke being bested by the nine-tailed beast, and suffering a confidence-killing, humiliating defeat that left him vaguely bitter, just like the old days. However, even with that in mind, he does respect the blonde, no matter how many times he calls him an idiot and does the exact opposite of what he says.
notes: Sasuke has slightly softened from his forced involvement with those around him, and by “slightly softened”, I mean that he doesn’t have an attitude with everyone that comes around. Just most of them.

Sample Plans for the Character in this Setting: Sasuke’s main goal will be attempting to find a way back to Konoha, if only so he can level it. While he does have a one track mind when it comes to those things, he will take the time to learn what he can about the surroundings and other citizens therein; knowledge is a valuable weapon, he has found, and new people can sometimes have it in abundance. He will spend most of his time exploring and at the library, and testing his limits with the mist, if only for personal knowledge. He will explore whatever parts will allow him, still continue his training and honing, and all the while trying to figure out a way to make the Door work in his favor.
After all, he’s never going to want to stop going back.
