0028. His off-screen rebirth

While the attempt at some form of judicial system is greatly appreciated, I am not some murder case to be solved. Drop it. I will handle it on my own.

Memory, have you drawn those pictures per my request?

Why are children allowed to get away with so much? It seems that a child can do whatever they please just by virtue of being younger and smaller.

I appreciate your cooperation. There are not many people I can approach concerning this sort of topic.

It's because they're kids. They don't know any better. It's just like all of us here without our memories, except the kids never had them to begin with. That's what adults are supposed to do for their kids - teach em how to be adults. Then when they grow up, they can survive on their own. Not everyone's a great parent tho... Some abandon their kids to figure everything out all by themselves.

I don't think I have parents. Perhaps that is why I am learning things now that others already understand. But if a child can learn on their own, so can I.

What is the best way to interact with children? Blood is difficult to communicate with.

Not like I'm gonna judge you for not having parents. It just means stuff's harder to find out on your own - unless you've got friends to help you figure it out too.

The thing you gotta remember about kids is the whole 'not knowing' thing. A lot of that's just vocabulary, like I try explaining to her a lot. You can't use big words unless you explain what they mean, or they'll jut get confused. Blood's a weird case, so I wouldn't just think about her, but with a lot of kids they only think in really simple terms - eating food stops hunger, wearing clothes make you warm, really basic stuff like that. So sometimes you gotta use... [[pause as he looks the word up]] analogies to get your point across.

Pictures work well too, I think, because not everybody got taught how to read as a kid either. Guess I wasn't, anyway, or maybe I'd be better at it.
