Keep in mind, I am not at all proficient in Word. I work in layout programs, like Quark and InDesign, and my go-to photo program is Photoshop.

From what I understand, Word will not allow you to save your file as a JPEG. It will let you save it as a PDF, but you will have to go through the "Print" rater than "Save As" function. Can you as the store you are printing at if they take PDF files?

If not, send me the finished PDF and I will turn it into JPEG in one of my nifty go-tos. :)

To make a PDF of your file, go to the "File" menu at the top, select "Print." When the dialog box appears, there should be a "PDF" option/button on the lower left corner of it (right next to the question mark "?"). Click on that, it'll give you the drop-down menu and you select the topmost option of "As PDF." This will give you the usual dialog of where you want to save it and what to name the file. Click "Save." You are done.

Hope this wasn't too confusing.

I'm definitely going to give this a try. But be honest, should I just NOT bother at all and just work with Photoshop?

If you have Photoshop, and know how to work in it, then certainly, it's a lot easier to do graphics in than Word. Word isn't designed for graphics manipulation. You can stick pictures in, but making them do what you want is tough.

Do you have Photoshop? I can answer questions if you have trouble. I'd be happy to help if you need me at all. (I mean, for all I know, you are a wiz, and I'm making an ass of myself, lol). :) But yah, let me know. :)

I received a disc of it with my Epson printer but I haven't installed it for fear of it slowing down this laptop. I think I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and use it. Oh, and in no way am I an expert. :) I appreciate the offer of help and I will try very hard not to be annoying as all hell. :)
