To me, BSG started with the current incarnation, and I was inthralled an in love from day 1. And then I tried to see what the old one was about, and boy did I not like it. :))
But I like your question! It's interesting. I think BVS will hold up well. I can imagine Joss's work being reborn in an infinite variety of ways. Then again, sometimes it's the worst of shows that get a new lease as something else entirely and surpass the "originals." Seriously, is anyone thinking of the old BSG as an original anymore? Besides the names and the barest of concepts, it's a completely different entity.
Can you envision a new Veronica Mars years down the line? Maybe this time, Logan will be a woman. Let's see how the old fans handle that. :)Nooooooooooo!!!! lol. No, no, no! No Logan as a woman. You know, I hadn't thought about that. I'd just picked an already great show and envisioned it brought to life again. Now, you have given me something to think about...what bad show could be remade into something wonderful?
