Okay, that's it, I need to send an extraction team your way. You need to be taken out of there and placed in a different Universe. I don't actually have another Universe to offer ... or an extraction team, come to think of it. But something clearly needs to be done!
Isn't it just CRAZY. I mean, COME ON already. But thank you for the offer of an extraction. Now everyone will know exactly what to get you for your birthday. :)
Geez Louise! This is horrible. I hope that your extended family is able to pitch in a little bit. Ugh. Flu sucks. I hope it's the short-lived version and that you get a reprieve soon!
Thankfully, it seems as if the kids might be on the road to recovery. Unfortunately, I had no help this week. Well, that's not true--my mom was able to come for a few hours on Wednesday. My mom has to watch my nephew and she works the other days, and honestly, I didn't want my mom to get sick. My MIL didn't come near us, but she did offer to do our laundry for us. However, with my ankle, I couldn't even make it down to the basement to get it all together for her and she won't set foot inside our house b/c we're ill.
I'm sorry, but WTF is WRONG with these people? Not your mom, I guess. She had some reasonable excuses, although the not-getting-sick thing is kind of silly for anyone, in my opinion. If they get sick, it's cannot be worse than you being sick with a sprained ankle and four kids. Ugh. I wish I could be closer and bring you some dinner or something. Geez o' Pete. My apologies.
I'm okay, really. it's just that everything here is chaos and while I can kinda deal with it--Mike can't so I have this extra stress of dealing with his mood.
My mom did come over one day and it was a tremendous help. My MIL, like I said, wouldn't come near us. Instead, she called me on the phone and in what could only be described as a bitchy tone said, "Bri, I don't have to tell you every day, if you need me to do something like laundry, just tell me." Laundry was the LEAST of my worries, you know? I needed someone here but she came over once last year and caught the flu from us so she refuses to stop by here now. Oh well.
