Snow Day

You know, snow days were a LOT more fun when I wasn't responsible for entertaining four small people or for shoveling all the snow while our snowblower sat barricaded inside our garage.

Yes, snow days were much more fun when we were small people. And really, burrowing from under the snow? Awesome, if I recall correctly. :)

I'll tell them that years from now when they're in therapy--"But you had fun making your way out of the snow!" :)

Oh. My. God. You are AWESOME. "Butt-sledding" just made me laugh my ass off. That was just what I needed to make me smile today.

That is a lot of snow. First priority: freeing the snowblower from it's jail. Then, yes, you throw them out into the snow whether they like it or not. I actually enjoy the shoveling because the kids usually stay inside and leave me alone. Although, I remember shoveling 2 feet of snow last winter and nothing really makes that better.

Oh, and my lesson from this week which I learned from a work acquaintance who was injured at the end of Dec.: When you take the kids sledding, do not let the little ones steer and sit in the back or you run the risk of breaking your femur. Not good. Not good.
