The two suits on V----e's screen are preparing to dock; though similar in design, the slight variations and color are enough to distinguish the two, and the darker suit readies its large cannon. The other, a bright red bordering on fuchsia, flies behind it and begins preparations. But he is not going to allow it. Activating the thrusters of his suit he barrels towards them, beam saber poised to attack. The bulk of his Gundam slows him down, allowing the quicker models to scatter into separate directions. He may have interrupted them, but now they stood with their guns pointed at him, supposedly with the advantage.

They are unfit to be Gundam M------s.

His eyes light with the familiar feel of Veda's connection as he connects to V----e, and a red panel on the instrumental board announces the activation of the Trial System. He does not need to see this to know. As the armor around V----e purges, revealing the hidden N-----h underneath, he feels every inch of the machine, every connection and square centimeter. He is V----e and N-----h and T----a E--e and the Trial System all at once, with Veda humming comfortably in the background. Monitors are unnecessary to him; everything he sees is directly fed into his mind and every controlled movement is directed at his will, and his physical body becomes nothing more than a secondary concern.

Through Veda he detects the Gundams around him: N-----h, E--a, the three Th----s. He knows their exact positioning, every single program active and passive on their systems. He has to forcibly limit himself to connecting only to the two attacking him, shutting down all of their controls and watching passively as they plummet to the earth. He knows that's not enough, that they have been built far too sturdy for such a fall to break them, so that pleasure is left to him.

He feels himself talking, the red lines and monitors of the Trial System alight in the cockpit of the machine, but he pays no attention to this. The words are cathartic, a passing of judgment, a ritualistic sentencing. He is both in the physical and digital realm, existing simultaneous as multiple beings and persona. He wonders if this is what it is to be the God S-----a F. S---i no longer believed in.

N-----h unsheathes a new saber, the previous one lost in the purge. The fallen suits lie on the ground, completely helpless and unable to move, the pilots trapped inside. Just where he wants them. Flying down, he poises to strike the killing blow at E--s, ironically named to be the first in his execution.

The shock from the Trial System suddenly disengaging leaves him in a panic.

He's suddenly aware of his body, of the warmth of the cockpit and the tight flight suit, how the helmet obscures his vision and at the right angle, he can see himself reflected back in the glass, how disgusting the sweat that always forms is, how his hair tickles his nose, how his knuckles hurt from gripping the two side sticks, how small and confined he is when compared to the infinite knowledge of Veda, how loud his breathing sounds, how the blood rings in his ears.

The ground takes the hit as the two Th----s retreat, no doubt having their system controls returned to them.

How could this have happened? It was almost like that time..
