So let me get this straight - Larry King is getting his 8th divorce, Elizabeth Taylor is possibly getting married for a 9th time, Britney Spears had a 55 hour marriage. Gah, yes. I hate it so much. Makes me think of a quote from the show Spin City. There is a gay character named Carter and he says someting along the lines of "If I met a woman, I could get a meaningless marraige to her within an hour. But if I had a loving, caring, meaningful relationship with a man for ten years, I couldn't marry him." I hate that our society is like that.

I know. It's just absolutely crazy and I don't understand why it's deemed unlawful in certain parts of the world. Certainly we can't even begin to think we can tame and put laws on caring, devoted love? Hopefully one day people will come to understand that.
