Ssthist and I have spent a grand total of six hours ten minutes on the phone to our cable provider today. We've spent this time trying to find out why our TV service was disconnected and trying to get it re-connected.

Finally FINALLY I talked to someone who was prepared to take the problem to a manager. Five days for re-connection. FFS!

Something similar happened to me. On Christmas day at 4 AM, my ISP screwed up a part that they had no replacement for. Anyone using this town's cable internet service was offline for four days.

Ouchies, I know how you feel. Yesterday, I showed up for a night class (@ 6:00 PM), waited 20 minutes (with 4 other people) for the professor to show up, then spent 10 minutes on the phone with the registration people just to find out that the class was cancelled. As in, forever. And they hadn't told any of the students. Grrr.

They should send you tapes of any shows you wanted to watch, in compensation :P

Youch! 5 days? That bites >.>

I'm actually pleasantly surprised that our cable isnt out right now. Having a really nice ice/snow storm at the moment. *grins*
