Mouse Guard: Brand Brewer

My nice scanner broke a couple of weeks ago, just before I finished this little collage illustration of a mouse character I made for a game I play. That is super-cool. I always mean to make character illustrations for our games, but I never do. Love the 'transformative moment' where a character goes from being sort of 'meh' to someone you really want to play forever. Clinton has said that it takes three sessions for a game to really get going, and as anecdotal evidence, this is pretty good!

Thanks Remi! Yeah, I often mean to illustrate my characters, too, and rarely do. I'm a little out of practice drawing figures, so I can never seem to get them to look the way they do in my head. But I've been getting back into collage illustration, so maybe I'll try more of it.

I was remembering what Clinton said about the three session thing, and although it doesn't always hold true (sometimes it's sooner, sometimes never!), it definitely did for this game. At least for me. I'd had a cool Brand moment in the first session but this scene really put him in that crossroads position I was hoping for.
