[ she hesitates, but faize gives her a nod and she runs toward the others. she almost falls, but bacchus catches her. ]
Bacchus: Mr. Edge!
Edge: We'll be fine! Take care of Lymle!
Bacchus: But...!
Edge: Just do it!
Bacchus: I believe in you, Mr. Edge.
[ edge and faize begin to walk. faize looks at him, and then at the ground. ]
Faize: Edge... Tell me... Where did I go wrong? All I ever... I ever wanted... was to become strong, like you... Edge. No matter how dark or difficult the path, you always came through it, growing step by step. I wanted to become a man like you, always walking forward.
Edge: That's nothing. You still can, you know. You're walking forward now, aren't you?
[ they stop for a moment, look at each other. ]
Faize: Hmm, I see. That's exactly where I went wrong, isn't it? I needed to keep moving forward on my own feet, no matter how far, no matter how difficult, no matter how painful... [ edge gazes at him, they begin walking again as nox is crumbling around them ]
Sarah: What should we do?
[ giotto appears with a transfer symbol ]
Myuria: It's a transfer symbol!
Arumat: Run!
Myuria: Wait, I thought we weren't able to use transfer symbols here!
Giotto: I imagine we're able to use them because the connection between Nox Obscurus and the Missing Procedure has been severed.
[ reimi turns to see edge struggling to keep faize from falling into one of the chasms. she runs for him and almost falls but sarah rescues her. ]
Reimi: Let me go! Edge! Edge is still back there!
Sarah: No! There's no way I could let go of you now!
Meracle: Over here, just a little more...
Myuria: Come on, come on...
Sarah: Here we go!
[ myuria and arumat grab reimi, she struggles ]
Reimi: No, let go! Edge! Edge is--! Edge! No! No, let go!
Myuria: Stop! Calm down!
[ giotto looks on in worry, and then bacchus makes it to them, carrying lymle. lymle goes up to giotto, tugging on his hand. reimi is still calling for edge in the background ]
Lymle: Faize and Edgie are still inside, 'kay?
Giotto: We can't wait any longer. The symbol will be caught in the collapse!
[ the camera pans back to edge and faize, edge is struggling to haul faize up ]
Edge: I'm not letting go! I won't let go of you!
Faize: Edge... Why are you... trying so hard?
Edge: Don't look at me like that! You're going to be strong like me, right? Come on! we're getting out of here! And then... we'll all be together again!
[ faize gazes at him before putting his head down ]
Faize: Ahh... It feels... nice...
Edge: Huh?
Faize: Hearing you call back to me from ahead... Running after you, following your lead... Always trying my best to help you... I hope... someday...
Edge: Faize?
Faize: Edge... Edge, I know you can... [ he smiles, and lets go (he says something here but i can't read his lips) ]
Edge: FAAAAAAAAAAAAAIZE!
[ edge stands, slowly, nox obscurus crumbling now more than ever. he turns to look back the group. reimi is still struggling and yelling. ]
Reimi: Edge! Edge, hurry up!
[ edge momentarily curls his hands into fists, looks at giotto, and nods; giotto nods back and transports them out ]
Reimi: No! Edge! He's going to die! No! Let go! Edge! Edge! Edge!
[ nox obscurus is destroyed, along with the phantom ships. edge falls into darkness, a light seemingly chasing after him. the scene ends. ]
