Deathstars

Deathstars are playing in a city a couple hours away the day after my birthday. I'm tempted to go but I probably won't.

Hadn't heard of them before, but after googling,

"the group are noted for their dark horror-themed lyrics, pessimistic and misanthropic social commentary, distinctive trademark face paint, dark stage uniforms and physical appearances that correspond to gothic fashion"

And I didn't realize at first but apparently it's their first tour in America. The venue has two other bands listed for that night, and then if you read the small print it says "with Deathstars." So they might not play for long, and I'd have to rent a car. You can kind of tell from their lyrics that English isn't their first language, but other than that I like them quite a bit.
