Yes you should call, I don't even know who you are talking about but you should. You would never know if something good might happen if you don't, and by the sounds of it, things can't get much worse if they didn't want to hear from you. So take the chance, you might be surprised. It's amazing the things just a few words can do to make someone feel completely different.

I was in the exact same boat. I went in and saw her. I was like a huge elaphant was in the room and no one was addressing it. I would leave it alone. It can never go back to how it was. I'm just say from experiance. But do what makes you happy. =)
