So today was somewhat interesting. I got up at 7:35, which I found interesting, since I fell asleep at 10:35. Nine hours of sleep, to the minute. It's hell having a literal mind.

Finished The Cat Who Tailed a Thief and have moved on to David Weber's The Honor of the Queen (more sci-fi pulp fiction). I am just reading whatever book wants to be read next. Going to Barnes and Noble for the afternoon to wallow in the books. Nothing more to say. Nobody's interested right now.

I am currently winding down towards the end of The Diamond Age. It is a most exciting novel, the climax encompassing convoluted realizations involving a vast cultural revolution (there appears that word once again), punctuated by bursts of counterrevolutionary resistance that are immediately put down by a vast army of ten-year-old Chinese girls, ( Read more... )

I get more insecure every day I work at Jiffy Lube. The first day, it was because I found out that I hadn't done as good a job as I was supposed to (because one of the other techs had to go back to a car I serviced and re-do it), and all day, I thought that every time the others congregated, it was to talk about me and my ineptitude.
