Yay for new instruments! I'm actually learning the bass (electric, not upright).

Also: I have a plan which involves a mandolin, two guitars and a bass. Let me know when you feel proficient enough for classical music. : )

You know I am also in the process of learning bass guitar, as well, right?

I need to figure out some good stuff to do with my right hand. I'm up for hearing your plan whenever you'd like to share it, 'cause it sounds pretty exciting (yay!)

I was not aware of your bassness, but it doesn't surprise me. Also: female bassists are hot.

My plan is to do string quartet music with guitars. Mandolin for the first violin, guitars for the second violin and viola, bass for the cello. I think it would sound really cool, and I know a couple of pretty good guitarists, but I need a mandolin player.

Okay, this idea seriously rocks out hard.

Too bad I don't live nearby, though. It might be hard to play mandolin over the phone. In the meantime, I'll keep practicing!

I wanna, wanna, wanna, but I have plans all day Saturday and Sunday I'll be in D.C. But I do need a good musical tuck-in. Maybe another Musical Shabbos? Are you at all interested in that if people can come?
