So a few weeks/months ago the office prankster was promoted to Fire Marshall of our floor, and he picked me as his Deputy (simply because I was apparently standing in a visible part of the hall and everyone else knew to look down and away when he said he'd pick if nobody volunteered. Also probably because he likes to pick on me

I was a safety monitor at my old job. And yes, I DID get a red hat. Nevermind that it was a baseball cap.

Uh, because your place of employment is not as cool as mine? We also got an official training session with pizza during which we learned how to identify a suspicious package: it might have protruding wires!

Also, the hat said "SAFETY MONITOR" in big letters on the front. I have it in my closet at home.
