Oh, thanks for telling us! I didn't know that.

Yeah, neither did I until I went there. It's supposed to be this big thing where kids fight each other getting candy off the ground and they blindfold them. When they hit the thing with sticks, I mean. So I'm naturally prepared for that game.

Oh. You meant the birthday.

...No problem!

I think I've heard of something like that before now, actually. I think America does something like that... sometimes? [Thinking, thinking...]

Does this America guy shoot fire from his hands? That's always a strong indicator of Fire Nation-ness.

A secret party, huh? I'll be there! Should I bring some food, or decorations?

Umm. Whatever you want. To tell the truth, I've never planned a birthday party before. I think some help with the decorations would be great, since I'm obviously gonna be bad at those. maybe you can get a lot of weapons and hang them around everywhere. And fur. I'm pretty sure Water tribe people like lots of fur.

Don't worry, if there's anything a pirate's good at, it's partying. I'll find some stuff Sokka will love.

[A party room filled with fur and spears. Vyse does think it's a bit weird, but if Toph says it's normal where Sokka comes from, it must be true, right? Maybe they can decorate the chairs with fur to make them extra cushy!]

Which house is the party being held in?

[Of course it's normal! Have you seen Bato's house? Fur and sharp stuff everywhere, man! Toph knows what she's talking about. She thinks. She's still not sure what purple is and where that comes into the equation, though.] That's a good question. I either need a secret place to hold it, or I need people to keep Sokka out of the house all day.

...Maybe I can get Moro to chase him around all day.

Sounds fun. Got anything in mind I might be able to help with, Toph?

Well, let's see. At parties, they usually have food, and music, and someone said decorations. So maybe you could bring some food and help me think of a good place to throw it. Or distract Sokka so he doesn't come home until we're good and ready for him.

I don't really know of any good places to throw it, considering I have no idea how many people are coming. I can bring some food, no problem. Got anything in mind?

Well, as far as places go, I was thinking of clearing out some space underground to make a really secret party! And as far as food goes, Sokka likes meat. Lots of meat. And snack food like fire gummis and pastries.

That would be great! Do you have any experience throwing birthday parties? I think they're supposed to have food and presents, and since it's a party, probably music, too. My parents weren't really...big party people.

You seem to have the party idea down pretty well. Decorations and games could be included too.

Games, huh? I know a bunch of bending games, but he can't play those. Any games you know?

Wow, really? You seem like a decent enough guy. I'm sure he likes you fine. [Spoken with the certainty of the ignorant.]

You ever plan one of these birthday things before?
