i can´t take all the credit for it, unfortunately. i learned this word from one of my favorite passages in ulysses:¨

"twenty years he dallied there between scortatory love and its foul pleasures and conjugial love and its chaste delights."

"he" refers to shakespeare in stephen´s fictitious account of the bard´s life while married to anne hathaway...
