Never ever have I ever felt so low, are you gonna take me out of this black hole?

-So, I got the job at the Gap. I started on Thursday and all I can say is that it's very different then my job of cutting broadcloth fabric for ungrateful seniors who have nothing else to do with their lives but sew and coming home smelling like eucalyptus. I still kinda don't know what I'm suppose to be doing there, because I didn't have my orientation yet for whatever reason. The people are extremely nice and understanding and the time goes by fairly fast. I'm working 23 hours there this week, and although that is a bit too much, I think in the end it will be worth it. I mean, 23 hours at 8 bucks an hour? Awesome. Yes, I put in my two weeks notice at Rag Shop on Wednesday (so did Kristin haha). But between Rag Shop and Gap, I'm working every single day next week with the exception of Thursday. Oh well, I could be working every day. And it's not like I'm going to be overwhelmed with school work, I mean it's 4th marking period senior year. Lame. Oh! And I work with Jeffy now! That was a surprise. If you're 18 and need a job that pays well and want to work with me and Jeffy, apply! They really need people.

-On Thursday, my father and I took the 2 hour long journey up to my future home of Mahwah, New Jersey. I went on a tour for old times sake, and realized how much more I liked Ramapo than Delaware. I guess the main reason why I wanted to go to Delaware over Ramapo because Delaware has a bigger name. That was stupid of me. I mean, even the great college counselor, Aru Prencipe, said that's a horrorshow reason to pick one school over the other. I wanted an older school, but Ramapo is just so new and well kept that it will do. It's no TCNJ, but oh well. My tourguide was really cute, but that's besides the point. My dad kept on making stupid comments during the tour. And I came to the conclusion that on every college tour there is always one of the following: the mother who is absolutely shocked when the term "alcohol" is brought up and the annoying college bound student who is carrying a notebook and taking notes of everything. WTF? Anyway, I got my apparel and bumper sticker (YESSSSSS) and then drove the 80 miles home.

-I realized on the car ride home from Ramapo how awkward my father is. I mean, I'm just sitting around, listening to my emo fix for whatever reason, and my dad interrupts my new favorite song ("Crooked Teeth" by Death Cab) and asks "Was Tupac from the east coast or west coast?" I gave him the weirdest look and was about to say "WHAT THE FUCK" but then said "Umm...I think the west coast. Yeah, the west coast. WHY? THAT WAS RANDOM." and he was like "Oh I was just wondering, that's all. You know what I don't understand, why do all these rappers shoot each other? Did you hear about that guy the other day" and I said "Yeah, but he also got shot along with another guy who they couldn't identify. Plus it was a club in Detroit, I mean it could have been just a coincidence that he was the one who got shot." and my dad was all like "Why doesn't anyone try to kill Eminem? Or why doesn't anyone make fun of him in their songs?" It was completely awkward. My father just wants to know everything in pop culture. I mean, back in the good old teenybopper years, my dad used his knowledge of which NSYNC member was which to ask "Do I look younger than Joey Fatone?" "Did you know Uncle Frank is younger than Chris Kirkpatrick?!" And I came to the conclusion that the only conversations I have with my father that last more than a minute are about pop culture. It's pretty pathetic. I'm guessing this is his form of a mid-life crisis.

-So Friday night after Anllo got off work, me, her, and Joe went to Howell for Ice Cream on 9. And we listened to my awesome, narcotic mixtape. Nicole was hilarious, she was dancing spastically to Cascada, and I wonder if any cars next to us saw her. Then we went to Barnes and Noble and listened to the Sailor Moon Soundtrack.

-Just for future reference: Harvard and Ramapo have the same school colors (white and burgundy). So because of this, it is embarassing if one person is wearing a Harvard t-shirt and another person is wearing a Ramapo t-shirt, unplanned, when they hang out together. When this happens, one person (usually the driver) needs to go back to their house and change into a different shirt. Just letting you know, just in case it ever happens to you.

-After changing my Ramapo shirt, Joe and I ventured off to the beach on Saturday. It was really really nice out. A lot of other people agreed, considering they were swimming in the ocean. Okay, it did hit 75 degrees yesterday, but that doesn't mean it's good weather to go swimming around in the ocean. AND THAT STUPID GUY WITH THE BAGPIPES WAS OUT AGAIN. hguirhgdsrgns. I wish he would go back inside and hibernate or something, no one wants to hear that. He was just standing out on his balcony, playing the bagpipes like it was his form of a mating call. I paid 4 bucks for a slice of pizza. DAMN YOU 3 BROTHERS PIZZA AND YOUR OVERPRICED FOOD. Stupid me decided to stick my feet in the ocean. It was so cold, I screamed. Stupid me. I'm a stupid girl. Speaking of stupid girls, how stupid is that new P!nk song? It's so stupid. Anyway, we then ventured off to the Monmouth Mall, because I've never been there before. Needless to say, I was dissappointed. Then after traveling almost 70 miles all day, I returned home.

-So today is Easter. I awoke this morning to find my basket with lots of candy, but mostly peeps. Huh? I hate peeps! Shouldn't my parents know this?! I've disliked them ever since I was little. Anyway, my family stayed home. I spent the whole day online, basically. This was good because all the kids in Europe got to an internet cafe and I talked to a whole bunch of them (Yay Sam, Michelle, Stringer, Nicole, and Christie). This is bad because I'm extremely bored right now. I mean, I could be at my grandma's house in Brooklyn discussing Drummy stories with Tara, making fun of the bootleg movies my grandma purchased, etc. Whatev. Instead, my mom's friend came over and her and my parents are in the process of getting drunk. So this is what easter has come down to. Me, in my room, typing up the HUGEST livejournal entry because I have nothing better to do, my brothers, also in their rooms, playing some type of videogame, my little sister chasing the dogs, and my parents getting drunk. GRRRREEEEAAAATTT. Well, at least my parents are celebrating our Irish heritage kinda. My mom's friend's daughter asked me if I was still in Barkalow.

-You know what grinds my gears? The fact that all the elementary schools and the Monmouth vocational schools have off tomorrow, and we don't. Thanks Freehold Regional, thanks a lot.
