Hi LiveJournal.

Jan 20, 2012 18:21

What do you put on hotdogs? Nothing. I like them plain.

Do you say "anticlimatic" or "anticlimactic"? Anticlimactic.

Do you check flyers before grocery shopping? No. But I'm so poor, I probably should.

Blue, black, or some other colour pen ink? Black. Never blue. Never any other color.

Do you use your parking brake? Only if I'm driving stick.

Look to your left. How many framed pictures are on the wall? None. I only have one framed photograph in my room.

Do you know how to play chess? Barely. Jesse tried to teach me, I know the basic fundamentals but I want to be better at it.

How often do you clean the interior of your car? Oh goodness, not often at all. I really need to detail it.

Do you ever read the last few pages first? Sometimes I'll read the final sentence. Not often.

Ever fallen in the shower? A few times when I was younger.

On a scale of 1-10, how likely are you to swear at other drivers? 5.

What's the worst thing you've ever called someone you care about? I once told my mother it was her fault I was born with a facial deformity. That was pretty terrible. And untrue.

Do you have a Snuggie? Hell yes I do. It's zebra print. And ultra-plush.

Are you allergic to anything? Penicillin. But I lie and say I'm allergic to dairy and nuts because I hate them.

Do you have any TV shows on? Nope. Listening to music. Lost season 6 is in my dvd player though.

How many times do you hit the snooze button before finally getting out of bed? Depends. Anywhere from once to ten times.

Ever driven away in anger? Yes. What felt like constantly this past summer.

What's your favourite freezie colour? Green. Hands down.

Are you a vegetarian? Absolutely not.

Do you have a garbage receptacle beside you? What's on top? No. Across the room. A paper plate.

Do you cross out your mistakes or erase/whiteout them? Erase.

Ever torn something up that you instantly knew was too important for such treatment? I stop myself from tearing up his letters.

Do you think that things will get better? I certainly hope so.

Do you have an unpopular opinion? What is it? People who quote themselves on tumblr or in facebook status updates are pathetic. Those images of iPhone text screens with dramatic statements in them are also pathetic. Say the important things to someones face, not their inbox. And I don't hate the casting of Taylor Swift as Eponine.

What's your favourite quote? Currently it's a Suzzane Collins quote: "'Always.' It's a gauzy, violet-tinted word. With no sharp edges, and many places to hide."

Did you/are you going to go to prom? Yes, I did. A million years ago.

What's the most physically painful thing you've ever experienced? I've had multiple reconstructive surgeries on my face. The last one was pretty brutal.

What's the most emotionally/mentally painful thing you've ever experienced? I don't know how to answer this question.

Have you ever legitimately saved a person's life? No. When I was little at some pool party a girl who couldn't swim fell in the pool and I helped her get over to the edge. But there were like a dozen adults around at the time so if I hadn't, someone else would have.

What's your favourite book genre? Dramatic, and a little bit fantastic.

Did you like "Gigli"? Be honest. I've never seen it. This was a silly question.

Have you ever walked out of a movie at the theatre? Of course not.

Do you peek between your fingers during the scary scenes? No. If I don't like something, I close my eyes and listen for the change in the music score.

What was your reaction to Tatum getting killed whilst stuck in the pet door in Scream? I don't know what that means.

Do dogs like you? Yes. Dogs really like me.

Would you say that you project an air of authority? Not anymore. Back at college, sure.

Do people listen when you speak? Yes. But I don't speak often.

How are your elbows? Are they okay? Sure. A little dry, but I can't really complain.

What is one thing that you do exceptionally well? Be honest. I'm good at what I do.

 Do you use torrents? Yes.

When was the last time you paid for music? I bought a soundtrack. I think it was next to normal. Or maybe it was Xanadu.

Are you addicted to technology? Yes. I love my kindle and my smart phone.

Pick a person (you don't need to give their name). How do you feel about them? Be as honest as you can get yourself to be. When I look back to the relationship we had, even two months ago, I don't even know who that version of me is any more. I wouldn't know the first thing about being close to him again. He didn't do anything wrong. He just had to go.

Do you check your computer's dictionary for the definition of words you'd otherwise feel confident about using during in-person interactions? Just to be sure? Sometimes.

How heavily to you rely on spellcheck and autocorrect? Not very. For certain words.

Have you ever gotten into an argument on the internet? Did you win? No. I don't really talk to people on the internet.

Do you pause movies/TV shows if you have to go to the bathroom or the kitchen, or do you just let them keep playing? Depends on what I'm watching and how many times I've seen it.

If you use a regular alarm clock, do you have it set to music or that obnoxious beeping? Obnoxious beeping. Music wouldn't wake me.

Peter Pan? "There are many different kinds of bravery. There's the bravery of thinking of others before one's self. Now, your father has never brandished a sword nor fired a pistol, thank heavens. But he has made many sacrifices for his family, and put away many dreams. He put them in a drawer. And sometimes, late at night, we take them out and admire them. But it gets harder and harder to close the drawer... He does. And that is why he is brave."

How often do you fall up the stairs? Theresa falls up the stairs. Theresa falls down the stairs.

Do you pronounce "via" as vee-uh or vie-uh? (Example: "We can get there via Tremont Street.") Vie-uh.

How often do you forget to close your parentheses? Never.
