I think I've hit the point where I really genuinely do need professional help from (probably) multiple sources to get on top of this. Not a great thing, but equally not the end of the world either. Getting on top of these things is doable. Other people manage it. So can I. I obviously just need a bit of extra help :)
Ultimately if this doesn't work then I guess I'll be off to see a counsellor, but I'll sort myself out an appointment first and then go from there - I probably ought to give it a couple of months to work, so it'll be January before I start seeking counselling if needed. But it feels good to be at least decided ona course of action. Especially since after 5 weeks of putting myself through the ringer with 'new diet plan' it's taken a mere two days of eating less restrictively to pile back on every single pound (of 4!) that I've managed to lose.
I have to be honest, I've never really looked into any of the yogas. Is Bikram the one that you do in a super-heated room and no water breaks?
I'll certainly have a look - I go to the gym fairly regularly but do need to start thinking about flexibility and balance a bit more - both of them are very very poor! And to be honest, I'm such a wound-up stress bunny most of the time that realistically getting into something that relaxes and clears the mind would be a really good idea!

And good luck with the rest of it - I think you've taken the hardest step in deciding to really, truly tackle this.
