So I'm back in Botswana. I'm not all that happy about it, but I knew it was inevitable. Made it back to my village yesterday and spent about a hour vacuuming all the spider-webs, along with some spiders. It's really amazing how desolate the village is. I want my hot shower back! While I'm happy that summer is over, it get really, really cold taking

So, wanna come visit me in Dushnbe? This morning my bathroom flooded. Ok, ok, I know what you are going to say - at least you have a bathroom. That's true. But who the hell do I call when there is liters and liters of water pouring out of my washer - Borat? Yes, yes, at least I have a washer! I tried calling your new number about 15 times yesterday, but for some reason, Tajik-Botswana phone connections are not that good... Hmmm... I wonder why...

I'm off to the local museum (yes, at least we have a local museum) to see the largest Buddha in the world, since the larger one was destroyed in Afghanistan recently). I'll post some photos.

Hi Chris! I started an account here, lo-and-behold, I saw that you have a blog here. Never knew you were a blogger! :) I'm glad you're doing better now, albeit you being back to the rural community you're in. At least now, I can have some idea what you've been up to these days. I hope that you do take care of yourself there, and get yourself back home safely next year. :) Hope to see you on yahoo again... and email me too sometime... would love to hear again from you.

Yes, I've had it a few years, but don't post very often, especially now. It also depends on the cafe I get myself to here, since some are better than others for surfing, thus posting. I hope all is going well!!! I'll try to post more soon and email you.
