just as it's my turn to shine, i look like a dimwit

So I'm a little depressed. And to be honest, I don't have much to be worried about...it's just little things are building up and starting to stress me out. This week, even though we're only three days into it, has not been Denny-friendly. I had my Spanish midterm yesterday, and I know, even without getting it back, that I made some terribly ( Read more... )

Thanks! It didn't turn out to be too bad. Hope all at the high school is going well. Let me know if I can be of any help, and good luck with the college decision.

If it makes you feel any better, this week has hardly been Sarah-friendly, either. I'll give you all the gruesome details by e-mail soon.

And don't feel bad about the English misinterpretation- I totally did the same thing a few weeks ago on the first major paper for my English class. See, I thought this one poem took place in Ireland, so my whole paper was writing about how the weather conditions in it mirrored the restrictive English financial policies on Ireland at the time. It would've been a darn good argument... if the poem hadn't actually taken place in ENGLAND. Major suck-out, and I wound up w/a B+, which I feel lucky to have even gotten. Eh, better luck next paper, I guess.

19 copies?! That's so much paper!! Poor trees! Shame on your professor; that's just ridiculous. Like you really need 19 points of view. They'll probably all sound the same anyway... *mumbles about tree-killers*

I think, generally speaking, this week is a nobody-human-friendly week. I went to Japan last week and when I came back I was blasted by exams out the wazoo.

Don't you think that maybe you're overdoing the extracurricular thing a bit? Do you even have time for relaxation and reading good books and whatnot? Then again, I'm really lazy and even one extracurricular activity is too much for me...

Do I ever have time for anything? It was the same during high school; I'm used to it by now.

Denny, don't worry-I don't think ANYONE's having a friendly week...I think I just bombed my chem exam.
:( And I was doing fairly well in that class..for me anyways. And I definitely want to join more extracurriculars too - what exactly do MPA's do?

MPAs are Multicultural Peer Advisors in the residence halls who plan multicultural events for the hall, basically. All of them are required to work 30 hours a week or something like that, but they get free room and board. Besides, most of them are really into what they do, so 30 hours flies by for them. It's really competitive because they're only 17 positions and SO many applicants!
