So I had another job interview yesterday and, shock horror, it went ok! The only potential hiccup outside the quality of the other candidates is their concern that the pay scale isn't higher than the one i'm currently on. I think they accepted my explanation of needing to take a sideways step to change my career path so fingers crossed
