Oct 16: Naples and Capri

I have always wanted to see the Isle of Capri, which I've read loads about in books, poems and magazine articles. Even the very name sounds so idyllic and faraway and magical. So I was thrilled that we were heading to Naples, from which we could take a ferry to Capri. We had to choose between going to Capri or taking a tour

The pictures are fantastic and I commend you on your willingness to get on that chairlift. I'm no great fan of heights either, and the bus ride alone probably would have put me off any further adventures. I'm bad enough when I am in a building (I walked up as far as one could go in the Sagrada Familia and did not particularly enjoy the experience) but in something moving with virtually no support between me and the ground, I'm not sure I would have even been able to open my eyes long enough to take pictures!
