" According to legend we live on the threshold of hell, but in reality it is much more than just legend. It is said that man defied God when out of vanity he longed to build temples so high they touched the heavens and reached the ages."

Don't remember my pass atm, but you know who this is..so then,to what that refers I'm guessing is the tower of babel.. the building in the bible that was sposed to reach the heavens an didn't work.. and "god" split the peoples up into different "tribes" all over the earth with different tongues of speach.. hence "babble" in latter days.

I'm not sure how much of any of that is true.. nor do I want to bring up that debate. What I want however is to state. That regardless of that qoute.. We don't live just on the threshold of hell. We live on the embankment. We're all one foot away from utter disappointment and failure.. It's hope.. It's life.. It's everything we want and dream of that keeps us from falling into purgatory that actually is "hell".. Some people though.. Well some people just can't or won't pull themselves out..
