Oh those look DELICIOUS. I saw some coconut oil at the gourmet/organic/health food store the other day but wasn't sure exactly how to use it. Can you just substitute it for Crisco or butter in baking?
Yes, but it's kind of expensive and it gives a coconut undertone. But I really like it! I've used it instead of shortening in biscuits and the pie crust now, and I was very impressed with the tenderness of the final product in both cases.
