You don't need to say anything intentionally poignant or inspiring. The fact that you have been diagnosed with cancer and are going through the treatment with head held high and full of optimism is truly inspiring and poignant to me. How many people would freak out, make posts everyday attempting to cull out pity and sympathy from their readers? Such an illness is truly serious, and I applaud you for not turning into an attention whore and dealing it with quiet dignity

so glad to hear you are doing well and recovering. i really hope i can get down there and see you before you go back to california. my car is being a real bastard lately though and it'd be risky to drive it that far, and the money situation isnt looking too goo either since i am moving into a new place in 2 weeks and saving for a trip to london in november. but ill try my hardest to come visit!!!!!! take care honey <33333 .
i've actually been keeping up with your adventures in tampa, just haven't been doing much LJ commenting lately till now. lemme know if you're ever comin to miami. i dunno if i can do tampa (need a ride), but i'm planning on going to orlando in the next few weeks!
oooo! let me know when you are going to orlando, thats only a little over an hour from me, i could probably do that. what are you going to orlando to do?
well they were being more faithful to the richard donner/christopher reeve flicks, which aren't all that faithful to the comics, but still has heart and all that good stuff.
oh, and meant to tell ya something... you mentioned in your LJ a while back (i meant to comment, but i was at odds with doing anything on LJ for a while) that only becky and melissa seem to read your journal. i actually read pretty much every entry, i just gotta stop being lazy and comment:)
I never read the comics (it's now on my "to do list"), but I have seen the first Superman flick about a million times- my son watched it everyday for a month. I was really pleased with the guy they got to play Superman: though he was obviously younger, he did a lot of Reeve-isms that the film needed. I liked Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor too. I didn't like Kate Bosworth- too soft- and I don't like that Superman's kid killed that guy with the piano. Unless Superman's kids turns out evil later, it hurts my sense of what superheroes represent. Defeat bad guys- yes. Protect the world from tyranny and injustice- yes. Kill people- no. I was always amazed with the way superheroes (in movies and cartoons) could save the day without killing anybody. Probably stupid and idealistic of me, but that's what it's supposed to be, right?
Damn, oher people are reading that thing. Now I feel the pressure to be witty and interesting. Not going to happen- but the pressure is still there.
