My flat mate has swine flu.

We're having visitors today from Holland, and then throughout the week from Denmark, B'ham and Milton Keynes. We were supposed to be doing a LARP camping event from the weekend on. Last weekend, Dave, Coop and I spent up the mountain at Russell and Sammy's. We had a great time, and slept in a little caravan. It was lovely. We dug trenches and set up bean poles, reinforcing them incase of mountain-wind, and then planted 175 runner bean plants. We played with the digs and ate good food. Ok, so I'm back from Birmingham now. It was really good. Dave's parents drove 210 miles to pick us up and drive us back to theirs. We nattered non-stop the entire trip. I really enjoyed visiting. This month is not a good month for animals.
First, Jake the giant guinea pig/mini sheep died a couple of weeks ago, leaving his companion Jasper the Equal Opportunity Guinea Pig on his own, and thoroughly depressing both his owners.
Then, Woody, my brother's rat & one I was particulary fond of, died today.
