Rain, rain, please go away.

I am such a stressed out mess. This semester feels as though it's just crashing down upon me, very heavy (all of the time) and desperately overwhelming. Also, it's been raining for two days (with another one on the horizon) which is making it harder to get out of bed. This will be a long list of grievances, I promise.

I can't believe it's January! Really. Really, really.

I am in total awe of the awesomeness of my life right now. I spent  almost every day of the holiday watching movies with my family (drama free!), nibbling on delicious chocolates and drinking tea. So lucky! It was honestly so decadent.

I am in the throes of a splendid day off!

Well, not technically off, I was up extra-early this morning to finish up my research paper outline and e-mail it off to my prof, and wrote some abstracts - i.e. dealing with the work of January to procrastinate on the work of December - and finished up my film readings for tomorrow. I have seventy-five pages worth of research papers to complete in less than four weeks! So scary! I am writing a paper about life narratives of suffering and religion and euthanasia! And another one about the sexual politics of meat. And another one about the problem ( Read more... )

an extra-long weekend with ry leaves me feeling like i can't possibly tie myself down to the library for the afternoon. unmotivated! wishing i could be back in bed, watching james bond movie, getting high, eating take-out and mussing up the sheets.
