Day 9, Kioto - Tokyo
Written in Dublin, 19th of AugustBecause there were still so much to see, we braved ourselves with Yo and woke up at 6 am, heading to the bus to see the last (or on my case, the second to last temple) in Kyoto. That one was Kyomizu dera, famous for the pure water and a terrace some 13 m high and build without using any nails ( Read more... ) -

Day 7, Kioto, Nijo castle
Written in Dublin on 27th It was nice, sunny morning when the bus arrived to Kioto station and dropped us off. I would have liked to sleep more, but no can do. The station building was huge and shiny and on the other side was the Kyoto Tower ( Read more... ) -
Day 6, Edo Tokyo museum
Written in Dublin 27th of July We had to check out the ryokan on Sunday morning, since we were going to Kyoto for few days. Fortunately we were able to leave our luggage there till we returned. Day 5, Tokyo, Saturday Shopping

Woke up relatively early and went to Shinjuku with emittchi to see if we could get a limited edition dolfie for Mordkan. There was a q in front of the elevator and we managed to find out from one girl who spoke English quite well, that they all were indeed queuing to the doll store. Day 4, Friday, Hakone
Written in Dublin on 26thWe paid not much heed to typhoon warnings and headed to Shinjuku to buy us Hakone pass. It was the first and only time I encountered a rude, perhaps foreigner/English phobic person. Day 3, Thursday, Tokyo

We started the day from travel agency in Shinjuku and friendly lady arranged our bus and Shinkansen tickets, as well as reservation to a hotel. (Station West Exit opening towards Studio Alta, called [vju:], recommended place :D )

The Second Day. We actually slept till midday, even thought I few times woke up to random noises from the street. The room was in middle of the house, no windows a all. But still the noises carried there.
