Yesterday was nice - I took R. a "quicky" dinner of risoto, alfredo sauce, fresh garlic, mushrooms, spices and mini crossants. It wasn't healthy, but it was quick. And good ( Read more... )

if you're not aversed to it, there's whole wheat pasta that you can try... or veggie pasta... to lessen the carb load. But really pasta can't be nearly as bad as french fries and loads of grease... can it?

I think you're right on. Dreamfields makes a KICKASS lowcarb pasts that literally, you cannot tell the difference.

I like whole wheat pasta, what's veggie pasta?

pasta made from spinach, tomato, other odd veggies... it's different colors, usually comes in spirals (although I know you can get spinach fettucine) and would probably taste great with alfredo sauce. I personally like to mix it with black olvies and italian dressing (and sometimes ham chunks) for a nice pasta salad. just mix, chill, and serve for a quick tasty not sandwich lunch
