Chapter 17.

It is impossible to say how first the idea entered my brain; but once conceived, it haunted me day and night. Object there was none. Passion there was none. I loved the old man. He had never wronged me. He had never given me insult. For his gold I had no desire. I think it was his eye! yes, it was this! He had the eye of a vulture --a pale blue eye ( Read more... )

Poe? That is so neat! I don't know where he went though.

Well if you repent enough and stop sinning then any monster can be redeemed. Otherwise you go to hell.

I don't know, Sylar. I don't believe that someone who couldn't be saved would be brought here. I mean, that's the reason this place exists.

But you might have to do something you don't like to get that redemption. What if the Gods ask for you to give your powers back? Would that be too much of a price for redemption?

Not saying they would. I don't know what goes through their head. But, I think it's a good question to ask yourself. What would you do for redemption?

(ooc: oh noes! Jessica let Niki respond to Sylar.)

I could not return my powers for redemption. My powers are who I am. They made me, they control me, they drive me. Without them I am the Watchmaker's Son.

I don't want redemption. It was a hypothetical question. I was speaking to another of monsters.

And what makes you think that being the watchmaker's son isn't good enough? If it's what you're good at naturally, then the opinions of everyone else doesn't matter.

It was a hypothetical answer. I imagine the Gods treat everyone the same way.

It's futile. And it was hypothetical.
