The main focus of the image is a project he's working on. Various model-building supplies litter the table around the partially constructed interior of a certain Der Waffle House.]I

[Souji's response has the same tone: pleased, but not really showing it.]

I found some building plans in the library. I wasn't sure if they were accurate though.

It's really close. I don't know if that thing was "authentically German" or anything, but whatever this is is really similar.

[She wants to touch it, in that juvenile sort of way.]

I can't tell-- how far along is it?

I've only got the seating part done.

[He turns the camera to show it more closely.]

I still have to do the kitchen and then the outside.

[She shifts awkwardly.]

You didn't have to do all that on your own, you know.

It was supposed to be a test run, but it was going better than I though.

[Man, this kid is super nice. Where were guys like him when she was in high school?

Anyway, back to apathy. Have a shrug.]

I just feel bad. I'm not so good at that kind of stuff so I'd probably just get in the way but...I mean, we hardly know each other and all. Seems...weird.

It's not like we can't start over if it gets messed up.

[Pause.] Or I can move it to a tea room.

Oh-- don't move it. That's when bad things happen.

[As slightly weird as she feels about this (since he's really not that much younger than her) she heads right over to see the model in person.]

[He's not sure what she thinks might happen since he doesn't know her day to day life is a slapstick routine, but he won't ask. When she knocks on his door he gets up and lets her in, gesturing at the partially built model on the table.]

Terezi says I should paint it red.

[akapeanut]

[It's lucky she didn't lose a limb on the way over. She comes over and sits down next to the table, fascinated.]

There's red trim. Like on the roof and stuff.

This is really good, man.

[He sits across from her.]

I wasn't sure how accurate the plans were. [But he's glad to hear he's doing alright.]
