[Souji is sitting in a tea room, stringing a key on a blue string. Once it's on there safely, he puts the string around his neck and tucks it under his shirt.

Then he picks up the device to address the network.]

Have many people been to the beach today?

... I haven't been out there.

[It's something really small and with all that snow out there, Souji still managed to find it.]

A lot of things washed up after it snowed.

[Minato nodded.]

I should go look.

[Minato took a second to consider it.]

If you don't mind.

[Now with winter coat and a scarf this time. Yellow with a black trim? Nah, probably a blue one just loosely around his neck. He nodded to Souji when he saw him at the entrance and went outside with him.

He indicated with a nod to Souji.]

You have one too.

[Souji nods a greeting back, dressed similarly to Minato.]

To the Velvet Room. [Somehow, he'd just assumed Minato would have something similar. They'd talked about the Velvet Room before, after all, or at least about Elizabeth and Margaret.]

[Minato nodded again, glancing at Souji once more before turning his attention back over to the ground covered in snow. That seemed like such a long time ago, the last time he was in the Velvet Room. Almost an entire year.]

It kept going up. Until the end.

Up? [Souji looks at Minato curiously. It's not hard to surmise that the Velvet Room took different forms for them--he'd been told that it reflected the journey and the identity of the guest--but he hasn't tried to guess what form Minato's had taken.]

[Minato looked over at Souji too, a little surprised, but he thought perhaps he shouldn't be.]

... It was an elevator.

[eatsyourscience]

[Souji looks at the ground as they walk, considering. With what he was told about Tartarus, an elevator makes sense.

He smiles.]

Mine was a car.

[jivitadana]

[A car? Minato kept walking as he thought about it.]

It stopped at the end too?

[eatsyourscience]

[A nod.] When it reached the destination.
