A year and a half in Japan. A year at the same job. Don't get me wrong, I love living here. I just wish I was being a wee bit more productive ( Read more... )

I assume you took level 2 right? You know starting next year they'll be offering 1&2 in the summer, so you won't have to wait until December (unless you really want a lot of extra study time) :P

Interac gives you a pay bonus at the end of the year if you have 3 or higher, so I went ahead and took that, and then I'll do level 2 in the summer. It was ridiculously simple for me. I missed two questions in the kanji /vocab section (assuming I didn't make any stupid mistakes), pretty sure I had a perfect score in listening, and then I finished the reading/grammar section in under 20 minutes and then took a nap (they gave us 70 for it).

I heard they were offering it in the summer, but I feel like I'll need the extra study time. I felt the reading section was a lot easier than the test from last year, so maybe I did manage to pass.

I'm doubtful, though. I felt like I made a few stupid mistakes. Didn't help that I had to wake up at 6, get a train at 7, take a taxi to Hiroshima Uni, and sit in a giant, unheated lecture hall. But all the whining doesn't excuse me screwing this test up.

3 is WAAAAAY easier than 2. I expected no less than a Neil full sweep of that test. You've managed to screw the average. Hell yeah!

How is Niimi? Gotten any substantial snow yet?
