That is truly amazing! You're right - looking at them seperately, there is no way it would seem that they could go together, but when viewed as one they totally mesh.
Thanks, It just seemed to say that to me. I originally called it something else, but the ray of light seems to bend where it encounters the purple edge.
I far prefer them as two paintings. And I think the one on the left looks better the way you have it turned. They would make an interesting companion set, especially if someone saw them for the first time, didn't know they were once part of the same painting, and intuitively wanted them together.
Sometimes I think knowing where to crop is half of what makes a good photo great. I haven't ever learned that art. One day I'm gonna take a photography class...
