Some people just don't take a hint!

[Level - B2 (now public)]

Well that was unexpected. So y’all know about my random unexpected and unwelcome visitor just over a week ago? And that since then, I’ve been closing my bedroom curtains at night and not leaving the window open? And that in addition to that, I’ve heard a couple of knocks (a 4am and a 5.45am)? Well...

Last night I was sat on the sofa, reading The Ambassadors Mission (latest Trudi Canavan novel which I’ve subsequently finished), sipping chilled white wine and enjoying a delicious risotto (made by my good self, involving chicken, button and wild mushrooms, spinach, coriander, basil and garlic and it was totally yummy). I had some music gently on in the background and was quite happy in my self, having decided a quiet night in alone was precisely the cup of tea. It was about 10.30pm and was getting towards pj-o’clock when I heard knocking at the front door.

Now, 10.30pm on a Saturday is a not unrealistic time for several of my local friends to drop by and say hello on a whim. I’ve got Gen living about a minute or so away who could have seen the flat lights on, then there’s Tom and Luke who live not much further who might have nipped to the Co-Op and decided to come up and say ‘hi’. Guy lives a bit further afield but could have dropped by. Heck, it could have been any one of a number of you! I wasn’t entirely convinced it was actually my door but I went to investigate anyway.

It was.

I looked through the window and saw my unwanted visitor of just over a week ago. So I said ‘What?’ in what sounded, to me, like a cross and go away kind of ‘what’. His response was ‘Sorry’ and then he scooted off.

I can only presume that he thinks there is some kind of timeshare thing going on at the flat and that I’m not the only one there. I can also only presume that he’s local enough to drop by on the off-chance. And that he definitely had the right place. And thus I can presume that I sadly do need to put up a sign to discourage repeat visits, either by him or other people. I texted ulfilias to say she must have been worth him trying his luck. Of course, the response to that was ‘maybe he thought you were worth the effort too’. Which made me grin like a loon and want to poke him in the arm at the same time of course, but that’s him.

So. Wording suggestions for my sign, as I very clearly need to put one up? It needs to be clear enough for unwanted guests to get the message. It needs to be discreet enough for fellow roofies not to ask too many questions. It doesn’t need to be overly discreet because no-one heads up to the roof unless they are living in one of the flats or are indeed visiting.

My current thought is;

Massage Service NO LONGER available from this address due to change of tenancy. Could all previous clients please find an alternative vendor. Unexpected visitors and guests are not welcome here.

Edit

I think I'm going with the following for now, to see how it works;

NO CALLERS PLEASE
Unexpected visitors are not welcome here
Previous tenant has relocated.

New tenant does not accept cold callers or
strangers visiting at odd times, day or night.

public, cotr, b2, rrandom
