[Level - Public]I rarely do film reviews and I’m certainly not a seasoned critic. Nor do I often harp on / wax lyrical about a film. Media is subjective and we all of us are going to be drawn to different things inevitably. I have seen it.... I have to admit I get fed up with the all the sobbing...I liked the end...

I read a bit about the making of the film & watched some of the interviews, and Natalie Portman started learning and practising ballet for a year before they started filming, and then around the filming... for 7 hours a day. She also went on the special diet that ballerinas have - she basically only ate fruit and vegetables for a year... now that's a VERY hard-working actress!

Aronofsky also used dancer doubles for both Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis, who played Lily... and he said that he used Natalie's double very little - only for a few of the really difficult bits. Wow.
