My transmission on my car blew up yesterday. The reaction sun shield inside blew on me. The trans shop quoted $1100 to pull and rebuild the trans with upgraded parts. That's the cheapest I could find for a rebuilt. The other option being I pick up a $500 trans at a junk yard and put it in myself - and hope that it runs fine. Being as I want another
