Moved house again. That's a total of 3 places out of home I've lived in. From living with dirty knackers who steal, to living in a really nice apartment with 2 other lads, now me and tom have our own place in city centre. It's great to be able to walk into town in about 10 minutes (seriously) and it's great to have our own place. We can use the

Smithfield isn't a bad place to live in. As you said, 10 minutes to city centre, 5 minutes to the cinema on Parnell St, 5 minutes to Mary St (and 5 minutes to Capel St, the most kick-ass street shopping-wise in Dublin), 7am-10pm 7-days-a-week supermarket downstairs etc.

Be sure to check out Jade, the Chinese restaurant in the small alley between the fruit market and Capel St. Ask for the Chinese menu (they have an English menu, but the Chinese one has better stuff), and do order the eggplant, it's delicious. Not sure about other veg stuff Tom might enjoy; I was always a big fan of their szechuan seabass.

At least the two most recent places had hot running water. One of the problems about living with knackers is having to wash with ice cold water - seriously, I thought I had travelled 300Km west and 100 years into the past when I got to Lucan.
