Honestly, God does not intend for you to be single forever. A lot can happen in a year, and hell even more in 5 years!!
I can understand how you feel, but honestly, I find it much easier to have the glass "half full." Mainly because, there are a lot of things to be grateful for in life. It may seem like having a husband is everything, but honestly, it isn't. Life will not be fulfilled just because you have a guy in your life.
I know, because I've learned this lesson myself. And I'm telling you this because I don't want to see you get down on yourself because of this. You shouldn't. You are a wonderful person and deserve the same in return.
At any rate, just don't give up. It just takes longer for some of us to find the right person. I believe we both will, in time. :)
I hope you have a good New Years!! Here's to a gret and wonderful 2007!
You go girl! It's nice to hear that advice from you :) Katie is right, for some people it just takes longer to find the right one. I've always heard that things happen when you stop looking for them. Take some time just to focus on you, and be happy with yourself...things will fall into place :)
"My life has been nothing but set backs and dissapointments, so why should my luck with men be any different?"
I think there's a few things wrong with that statement, girl! Think about your life, I mean really, think about it...You come from a family who loves you very much, you went to a great school, you have some close friends who care about you very much, you really have had a lot of opportunity in your life, you have been blessed with good health...The list continues. Now, I'm not trying to belittle your struggles...certainly, I know that while going through hard stuff, it's hard to see a way out, but I do think it is good to step back and count your blessings once in a while. It helps you keep it all in perspective...and when you keep it in perspective, there's not many other ways to see it than half full.
It's all true. If there's one thing you can't rush, it's finding the person you'll spend the rest of your life with. My magic 8 ball says that you will have one of those rare, coveted, comfortable and secure marriages when it does happen for you.
