Sometimes being a girl sucks...

Warning!! Ok, so this post is about my personal/sexual health. If you dont want to read about it then don't.
~~

I think I have a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis, hard to tell which since they are very similar in symptoms. I think having a new sex partner made things flair up. I haven't had this problem since I first dated Rich years ago, but didn't really have this problem when I dated Jerimiah. But I've heard that having a new sex partner can make this happen, also I'm close to that time of the month as well which only makes things worse. It only started to itch/burn after Friday night's date with David, which I thought was because he was a little rougher than usual. Only to be made worse by last nights date as well, making me finally realize it wasnt just regular irritation, but a real problem, so I went out to CVS for meds.

I'm trying over the counter meds before I spend the money to see an OBGYN. I read that eating yogurt or taking probiotics will help, i need to go get some yogurt, but i already have Align Probiotic supplements for digestive care. I also read that taking Acidophilus (another kind of probiotic) can help as well as taking Folic Acid supplements. I also got one of those 1 dose Monistat overnight things. I did the Monistat last night before bed, and this morning it burned and itched like crazy. I took a hot shower and tried to clean out the Monistat stuff, thinking maybe that had made things worse. But after taking the folic acid and the 2 probiotics I felt much better by lunch time. If it doesn't clear up after my period, then I will go see a doc and gets the antibiotics.

I already told David, so that he is aware of the issue, as men can get it from a woman who has an infection. He says he is fine and hasn't noticed any problems, so I hope it stays that way, cuz I would feel horrible if i gave it to him. But even if he doesn't get anything, there's the risk of him passing it back to me, so I'm gonna put sex on hold for a little while. We'll see how I feel after my period and all the meds.
