Bowling shoes: $2.00

Two bowling games: $10.00

Jared's ex-girlfriend getting jealous because I went bowling on Saturday with a group of people that happened to include Jared? Especially since said ex-girlfriend has met me exactly three times?

Priceless.

And horrible, yes. But she's crazy and Jared's a dumbass, and apparently he told her about his mother's master plan for me to seduce him. Which is icky. What's super-duper icky is that Jared is aware of this fact, which would explain his unusual reticence towards me.

Yes, there's the usual reticence, and then there is the unusual kind, which is the same amount of talking (read: as little as is politely possible) and also not even looking at me at all if he can possibly help it. Probably because he just now realized I'm actually a girl who his mother considers capable of seducing him (read: above the age of sixteen with a pulse). Which he was almost certainly blissfully unaware of up until this point, and thanks for ruining that, Mrs. the Fairy. GOSH.

I can't decide whether I'm vastly humored by this or really grossed out.

On an even less amusing note, it's got Crystal back on her "Jared and Kelsey" kick (and probably Jake too). Which sucks. "No!" says I. "I refuse! I refuse on every level it is possible to refuse on! I am not talking about this!"

You know, I am so ahead of the curve. I had already had a massive crush on Jared and gotten over it before anyone else entertained the mere thought. Now I'm just like, "Crystal, do you even know how uncomfortable it would be to kiss him? He's a foot and some change taller than me. I had a difficult enough time snogging Casey."
